St. Louis Travel Guide + Vlog
Today I'm giving you all of the details on our recent trip to St. Louis! You'll find our vlog & travel guide from our weekend vacation, my top picks for what to do + where to stay when you visit, and at the very end is an example itinerary of how to spend the best weekend in St. Louis!

St. Louis Travel Diary
Our hotel was gorgeous and was in the perfect location! The Chase is nestled right beside Forest Park which is huge. You could pretty much spend the entire weekend at the hotel and park and have an amazing time! Pro-tip for budget travelers like me - there's a grocery store right beside the hotel if you want to grab snacks, sandwiches, yogurt etc. to save money!
Though we didn't spend any time at the heated hotel pool, it was absolutely gorgeous!
Doodle settled in to our hotel suite very nicely. She loved being able to look out the huge windows!
On our first night in St. Louis we grabbed same-day tickets on Stubhub for only $10! We were on the upper level but we could see really well from our seats. It was a relaxing yet fun way to spend the evening after traveling all day.
We were secretly rooting for the Pirates to win (shhhh! don't tell) so that the Phillies would have a better chance at beating the Cardinal's into a wild card slot!
On Saturday morning we tried to get into the Budweiser general tour. We read online that it was "first come first serve" but that process does NOT work on the weekend. We arrived around 11:30am and the next tour was not available until 5:30 that evening. If you'd like to go, I'd HIGHLY suggest booking a spot online first. It's only $5 to reserve your spot and you can do that here.
Since we now had a wide open spot in our schedule, we grabbed two Bird Scooters that happened to be by the brewery and decided to "scoot" down to the Gateway Arch.
It was about 2 miles away from the Brewery but we decided to take a lot of side streets for lighter traffic and to get a feel for the residential side of the city.
The Arch was beautiful, but to be honest, we enjoyed the scooter ride down to it just as much! We even stopped by a local Farmer's Market on our way.
We decided to take a Lyft back to our car instead of scootering back. By this time we were quite warm and getting a little sunburnt! While we waited for our ride, we decided to pop into the Old Courthouse which was right beside the arch.
Don't mind our sweat, but the courthouse was gorgeous!
After swinging by our hotel to grab Doodle and make sandwiches, we headed over to Forest Park (which is right by the hotel) for a picnic!
We chose a spot on Art Hill which is right beside the (free) St. Louis Art museum. Even though there were quite a few people there, the park is so large that we had plenty of space.
Doodle seemed to love it!
After being outside all day, we relaxed in our suite before heading back out for dinner at The Preston (in the hotel) and a show at The Muny (in Forest Park).
The artwork in The Preston was fun!
I really liked the vibe of The Preston!
We chose the Steak Frites, Lobster Pop-Overs and Green Salad (not pictured). You can check out their full menu here.
The Chase Park Plaza was just gorgeous! Perfect for a date night even if you already live in St. Louis!
Seeing Matilda at The Muny was definitely one of the highlights on our trip! I did not know much about it beforehand and was surprised by the professionalism of the show! The majority of the cast had been on Broadway!
Before leaving on Sunday we decided to make our final stop at Anheuser-Busch since we weren't able to go the day before.
Seeing the Clydesdales was definitely my favorite part!
They let you try Budweiser and Bud Light while on the tour and it is way better at the brewery because it's so fresh!
After the tour we headed back to our hotel to pick up Doodle and head back home! We had a blast on the trip and I'm so glad we got to visit St. Louis!

Where To Stay: The Chase Park Plaza Royal Sonesta St. Louis
The Chase is gorgeous, dog-friendly, right beside Forest Park and 15 minutes from downtown. We loved our suite and garden view! Pro-tip: they have valet parking but self-parking is $25/night but the garage is directly connected to the hotel.
