Our Wedding

Today is our ONE YEAR anniversary so I wanted to share our wedding day with all of you! It really was the best day of my life, I still can't believe I am so lucky that I got to marry the man of my dreams!! Forgive me for my mushiness y'all... I'm still head over heels!

It was so special to have our wedding at my parent's home in Rougement, NC. You can see more about the location HERE.

       

 All the little details... I wore sparkly TOM's! I knew I'd be walking on grass down the aisle and I was NOT about to fall down on my wedding day. I was so glad that I had comfortable shoes in the end - my feet hurt from the long day as it was!

The earrings were originally Josiah's grandmother's. His sister Bethany gave them to me right after we got engaged... it was such a beautiful moment. I'm so thankful for the family I married into!

 I am so proud of my wedding dress purchase! It was a sample (and about 10 sizes too big) so I got it for under $200! I definitely recommend looking for sample sales and then having the dresses slightly altered afterward. The whole thing ended up being under $500!

This is one of my favorites! I love the love that Josiah has for his best man.

        

        

 How lucky am I to have friends like these!

It was hard to decide whether or not we should do a "first look" but ultimately we decided to go for it! It was so nice to have a few quiet moments together before the big event. It really was a magical time.

Fun fact: the horse's tail is up because it decided to poop as we arrived! Very romantic.

After the ceremony it poured down rain for a few minutes... but rainbows followed! We actually counted five!!!

That INCREDIBLE cake was made by my mother and decorated by our dear friend Velvet. I couldn't believe the amount of work they put into it. Another beautiful gesture by my loved ones.

 We are so blessed to be surrounded by these incredible people that love and support us! Each and every one of them helped to make our day so perfect!
