Self-improvement books are my absolute favorites, but especially if they're from a Christian perspective! I read each of these 5 books at very different times in my twenties and I really believe that they helped me grow, mature and improve in a multitude of ways. And since I loved them so much, I obviously HAD to share with all of you!

My Top 5 Best Christian Self-Help Books to Read In Your 20's

1. Scary Close - Donald Miller

This is one of my all-time favorite books, so I had to put it first to make sure you didn't miss it. Donald Miller tackles what it means to let down your guard, build deep relationships and be fully known, I read this book while I was dating Josiah and I truly believe it made such an impact in my life as we built a relationship and, eventually, a marriage.

2. The Artist's Way - Julia Cameron

Anyone that has a desire to live a creative life (even if you don't think you're "an artist"), must to read this book! Julia Cameron walks you through the different creative blocks, excuses and fears... then gives you the tools to pursue a fuller life. I'm currently going through this book and I'm obsessed! It's opened my mind to creative ventures and encouraged me so much in the pursuit.

3. The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery - Ian Morgan Cron & Suzanne Stabile

I love this Christian perspective on the Enneagram! If you haven't heard of the enneagram, it's basically a personality tool that can help you understand yourself and others better. Though I don't ascribe to every little thing about it, I've found it super helpful in all of my relationships! Having a Christian perspective on something like this is also super helpful as you explore and learn.

PS. If you want to learn more about the enneagram & take the quiz, this is another great resource I've used.

4. Girl Wash Your Face - Rachel Hollis

Rachel Hollis effortlessly motivates, inspires, calls you out... and you're not even mad about it! She's extremely relatable, honest and downright funny! If you're needing some inspiration to take control of your life and grow... this is a great read!

5. Love Does - Bob Goff

This book challenges you to lead a life of whimsy, adventure and love... for the Lord. The real life stories that Goff shares are hilarious, exciting and make you rethink the ordinary box of life you've created. The way that Goff sees the world, loves God and loves people is something I aspire to. Read this one asap!

Have you read any of these books? If so, let me know which ones and what you think of them! If you haven't, I'd love to hear which ones you're interested in!
